Well, last summer my family and I went for a holiday in Nha Trang, which is a coastal city in the south of Vn. To me, travelling with family can be one of the most rewarding adventures we can have together. I really love the moments when we had meals together, and participated in different outdoor activities, like going sightseeing, swimming, snorkeling, or trying different new cuisines and getting to know local customs there.
2. Do you like holidays? Why?
Well, I think I do love holiday time, because holidays mean you can take time off work, and spend uninterrupted time with your family, which strengthens family bonds. Holidays also mean new excitements and more time for traveling to places you have been looking forward to, and experiencing new cuisines, new cultures and opening your perspectives.
3. Which public holiday do you like best? = What is your favourite festival?
Well for me, Tet holiday or Vietnamese Lunar New year is one of my favorite holidays so far. It’s the best time of the year, as we can take a whole week off work, and reunite as a family. We decorate everything up all nice and pretty, which puts everybody in a good mood. We have time to invite our friends over to talk and enjoy each other’s company. Plus, we eat our favorite food during Tet holiday, we think about being nice for others, which actually creates a happy chemical in our body.
4. What do you do on holidays?
Well, I often do something sporty. I love riding around the town, or going for a walk outside, playing my favorite sport or even trying a new one. Any of these sorts of activities are a good way to get healthy. Besides, I also go on a road trip with friends or family, we often find cool new places to explore, like visiting a town we have never been to, or having an adventure in the woods.
5. How do you celebrate Spring Festival?
Well, Tet is our most important Spring festival. On New Year’s Days, which usually last for 5 days, families often visit their friends, neighbors and relatives and wish them luck and fortune for a new year. Children are most excited about Tet Holiday as they are given lucky money and are allowed to eat as many sweets and treats as they want. The whole family spend time together and enjoy a big feast with an ample variety of traditional food.
6. What special food do you have for these festivals?
