What’s your favorite color?
My favorite colors are extremely varied, depending on the context. For example, in terms of clothes, I prefer pastel (/ˈpæstl/) pink, cause I think it really flatters my skin tone. But when I designed my website just a week ago, I don’t know why, but my go-to color was pastel blue, as, for me, pastel blue represents freshness and reliability, which is precisely the impression that I want to make for that website.
Yes, there are. I’m definitely not into cold colors, like black, brown, grey, as for me, they would represent something very depressing and boring. Well, as I am not a person with an impeccable body shape or skin tone, I often avoid these colors when choosing clothes.
Are colors important to you?
I think colors matter to me and cause colors can to affect our emotions and moods during the day. If I’m tired of staring at my laptop screen, I definitely need to take a short break and look at the green color of the trees around my house to feel better. And when I buy something new, like a new dress, I would only pick ones that are in my favorite color.
Are there any colors that have a special meaning in your country?
Yes there are. In Vietnam, each color is associated with one to several special meanings. At weddings, you can see the dominant coloris red, from the dress of the bride and the groom to the decorations around their house, as red represents luck, wealth, and fertility. In contrast, we often associate black and white as the color of death, pain, or bad luck, that’s why you can see Vietnamese would wear either black or white clothes on funerals.
