1. Do you like to read magazines and newspapers? [Why?]

Yes, I do because the uses of newspaper/magazine reading are numerous. A well-rounded paper provides coverage of global and local news, weather forecasts, and a whole host of entertainment and sports topics. Additionally, newspapers can keep me informed of nearby store openings, sales, and job opportunities. At the same time, I enjoy all the informative articles from magazines, which provide me with a lot of tips on beauty care, house design, or updates in showbiz.

2. What do you prefer: reading news online or from newspapers?

I would say I prefer reading news online because they are free, and we don’t have to pay any fees for a weekly or monthly subscription as newspapers. Besides, we can keep up with all the latest global and local events by merely browsing news websites on our mobile phones and laptops, which are much faster than waiting for updates from print newspapers. 

3. Have you ever read a newspaper or magazine in a foreign language? [When/Why?]

Yes, I’ve tried to read newspapers written in English several times during high school, because my English teacher recommended that we should immerse ourselves in English by reading more news and books in English. And I found that this method really helps me to advance my English skill as I could pick up a range of new vocabulary and phrases from all the articles.
