SAMPLES FOR DISCUSSION:
What do you like to talk about?
Well, currently my favorite topic of discussion is financial management. I think each one of us has to make plan to be financially independent as early as possible. What we learn at school does not teach us how to start up our own business, how to invest wisely on stocks or real estates or so, that’s why 90% of world population often end up finding a stable job, but face the risk of being dismissed at any time during their career, especially during pandemics or economic crisis. So it is imperative that we teach ourselves how to grow our property portfolio.
Did you change the way you discuss when you were a child?
Yes, quite a lot. When I was a child, I used to discuss mostly about my study, what happened at schools, what small problems I faced with my family. But when I talked with other people, I was a quiet child who always kept to myself. I didn’t show my agreement or disagreement with what others were saying. However, now I’ve learned how to facilitate effective discussion. I mean, I try to be an active listener, stay attentive and focus on what is being said. I often listen to others withan open mind and be receptive to their new ideas and points of view. Then I will ask more open questions about the speaker, and show my interest in what’s being said.
Do you change your opinions frequently?
Yes quite a lot. If I realize that I’ve made a mistake or have misjudged a situation, I will have a second thought about that situation. For me, changingmind doesn’t make you a bad person, but a person who is thoughtful, clear and willing to admit that you hadn’t thought things through thoroughly when you initially made the decision. For example, I was going to apply for Japanese major, but when I found out that Japanese is considered one of the most difficult languages in the world, then I changed my mind and applied for another less challenging major.
