2. What is the role of men and womenin raising children?

Well, I think there are dramatic differences between both genders when it comes toparenting.Women tend tobring more sensitivity and emotion to parentingthan dads,and fathers tend to encourage more problem solving and risk-takingthan moms. And,both are essential to the healthy growth and development of theirchildren. For example, mothers will teach their children by showing them affection, and they often change the way they speak, as they talk “baby-talk” to their babies. At the same time, fathers often encourage their offspring to take part in different sports or physical activities. Besides, fathers tend to play with their children, and mothers tend to care for them. Generally speaking, mothers cuddle babies, and fathers bounce, chase them. 

3. What is the difference between support from friendsand support from family?

I think when it comes to supporting from friends, having strong supportive relationshipsis known to provide emotional help during stressful times, reduce stress, increase life span, and give greater levels of happiness. It is essential to have several people in an individual’s life that can provide support.For example, when we receive a low mark from a test at school, we can feel very sad and depressed, but we will feel much better if our friends are always there for us and cheer us up. On the other hand, support from family is quite different from friends as our parents provide us with not only mental support but also financial support. Until we are 18 or until we can make money on our own, our parents will pay for our tuitionfees, food, and house, which is something that our friends cannot offer us.

Besides, friendship could only last for several years, or a particular period in our lives, like friends from primary school or secondary school, but our families will always be there for us for our whole life.

4. Children often get unconditional love from parents, do you think they can get it from friends? Why?

I’m not sure about this. There is no doubt that our parents are usually the ones who love us the most no matter what, because they see us as a part of them, and they have made a lot of sacrifices in their lives to make our life better. For example, they would work hard to afford toys, schools, clothes, and food for their children, and they would never complain about that or when our mom has to undergo a lot of changes in her body after pregnancy and giving birth. And for me, I think these are what unconditional love is when someone has to sacrifice a lot for you without asking you to give back.And friends, even our close friends, can rarely show us unconditional love like our parents, though they could be an indispensable part of our life.
