So today, I’m going to talk about my mom, one of the most influential people in my life. I love her to pieces. She is now in her mid-50s and retired. She’s a truly incredible woman, my best friend, and the most important person in my life. I want to share some of the things that make her so unique.

Besides, my mom doesn’t want to spoil me, so she has taught me many life skills so that I am well prepared for my independent life in the future. I’ve learned how to do domestic chores, how to cook, and how to take care of myself since I started primary school. Most importantly, I think my mom has taught me not only how to do chores, but also how to become an independent and responsible person.

She has taught me many important life lessons. I’ve learned a lot from my mom’s words of wisdom and on-point advice for most of my life, from relationships to career advice and everything in between. For example, she knows that I have a deep passion for Math, so she encourages me to pursue a career in the medical field or business. And I’ve learned how to make friends with the right people and stay away from toxic people.

Besides, she encourages me to foster a habit of reading in my free time rather than waste time watching movies on TV or surfing the Internet. She says that I should read more because the more I read, the more knowledgeable I become. Reading is a way for me to expand my mind and open my eyes and help me look at the world from different perspectives. And if I want to improve my English skill, for example, I should try to read books, articles, magazines written in English that suit my age and interests.
